I squint at the next profile picture which pops up. That can’t be for real. I click on it to make the image larger. Yup, he’s for real. A skinny, bare chested man in a full length purple mermaid tail is sitting on a rock and giving me a come-hither look with his eyes. His wavy, golden locks flow over his shoulders. That’s got to be a wig. I truly hope it’s a wig. I skim the man’s profile, looking for some insight on this interesting character. I’m not sure if he has an extremely good sense of humor, and he’s trying to weed out the serious, high-maintenance girls or if he’s just a whack-job. Only one way to find out...

Travis sets his plate on a nearby table and pulls out my chair for me. “Highly unlikely,” he says.
I set my plate down as well and sit in the offered seat. “I know you clearly love basketball, but what else do you like to do for fun?”
“Is there anything else?” Travis winks at me.
I wait for him to say just kidding and tell me more, but he doesn’t go on. “Nothing? Really?”
“What can I say? I live and breathe basketball. It’s my career, my hobby, and my passion. I even still have all my basketball cards from when I was a kid. If I were seven feet tall instead of my measly 6’2”, I’d probably be playing on that court down there.”
“So even when you’re not here at the stadium, you’re playing basketball or watching basketball?”
“I’m also a volunteer basketball coach at the YMCA.”

Meet Travis, along with all the other eligible bachelors, on June 10th.

Michael: Two muffins are baking in the oven. One muffin looks to the other and says, “Boy, it’s sure getting hot in here.” The other muffin turns and shouts, “Aah, a talking muffin!”
Me: Ha ha! That reminds me of the kind of joke my dad would tell.
Michael: Then your dad must be a comical genius.
Me: Obviously. All dads are. Or at least think they are.
Michael: In my office, I tell jokes like that and I have everyone in stitches. I do work with a lot of nerds though.
Me: Oh, really? What do you do?
Michael: I’m a computer programmer.
Me: That’s cool.
Michael: It’s not, but that’s okay. I didn’t go into this line of work for the chicks … that’s what the jokes are for.

Meet Michael, along with all the other eligible bachelors, on June 10th.

I turn around, ready to give this douchebag a piece of my mind. Instead, I freeze in my tracks. Holding Jaden’s hand is an unbelievably gorgeous man. His eyes are the color of honey, golden and dripping with sweetness. But his dark eyebrows are turned down, and he’s staring right at me. I stumble for a minute, trying to remember what I was going to say. I step forward and extend a hand. At least my body can figure out what to do, even if my mind can’t catch up.
Meet James, along with all the other eligible bachelors, on June 10th.

There’s a light tapping on my door and Kristine pushes it open. She crosses her arms and narrows her eyes at me. “You’ve only talked to him once.”
I sigh. “I know, Kristine. We went over this last night.
“There are all kinds of rapists and serial killers out there, preying on innocent girls like us. You can’t just go out with every single guy who swipes right.”
I button up my favorite navy blue shirt and glance back to the mirror. “I know, but…” I stop and look back at Kristine. “Wait. How do you know what swiping right means?”
Kristine’s face goes beet red. “I…I” she stutters.
My eyes widen. “You’re on Tinder!” I shriek. It’s not a question so much as an accusation.
Kristine pulls out her phone and holds it up for me to see. She hangs her head. “I joined last month.”
